RC YouTube channel Flite Test, a Lauren International company, recently held their first ever Flite Fest South event in Lake Wales, Florida.
Flite Fest South was the third Flite Fest event of the year, and it was the first event to have RC and general aviation flying together.
“The Flite Test community is passionate about all things aviation,” said Josh Bixler, Flite Test general manager. “Flite Fest South was a great way to bring our community together and share our passions for both RC and full-scale flight at one family-friendly event.”
The event was held at Lake Wales Municipal Airport, which included plenty of space for flying RC aircraft, paragliding and full-scale airplanes.
Beyond the flight line, Flite Fest South featured DIY RC aircraft build tents, hands-on STEM activities, wing airplane racing and drone racing. New activities at Flite Fest South included paramotor demonstrations, skydiving demonstrations and helicopter rides.
As Flite Test continues to add more Flite Fest events every year in different locations, one constant across the events is the camaraderie embodied by the Flite Test community.
