We partner with local manufacturers and businesses to present a week-long manufacturing camp for incoming 7th and 8th graders in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. This camp explores manufacturing careers and inspires students to imagine their futures working in Tuscarawas County.
We contributed to the construction of Kent State University at Tuscarawas’ Science and Advanced Technology Center. The facility expanded the university’s engineering, science and nursing programs and provided laboratory capabilities for students, local businesses and the community.
We partner with local high schools as part of a nationwide initiative to promote engineering-related courses and careers. Project Lead The Way focuses on engineering-based curricula in local high schools and is often taught by Lauren engineers. Completion of all four years is equivalent to one year of engineering school at Kent State University.
We provide funding assistance, guest speakers, classroom visits and many other forms of support for area schools at all academic levels.
We strongly believe in providing meaningful work experience for local high school and college students via internships and professional mentoring, and we often hire permanent staff through these programs.
