AAMA Presents Tracy Rogers with Distinguished Service Award
Edgetech technical director receives award from the association’s Residential Products Group
During the 2009 American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) 72nd Annual Conference in Coronado, Calif., members were recognized at the association’s awards banquet for their the contributions and achievements over the last year. The 2008 Distinguished Service Award for the Residential Products Group (RPG) was presented to Tracy Rogers, Technical Director for the Edgetech I.G. division of Lauren International, by Ray Garries (Jeld-Wen), Immediate Past President of the RPG.
This award is given to an individual who accomplishes formative work on behalf of the association and the Residential Products Group.
“Tracy has a long history of service and representation of AAMA, along with impressive industry and educational backgrounds,” said Mike Hovan, President of Edgetech I.G. “We are all very proud of him and his accomplishments in the industry. This was a shining moment for Tracy and all of Edgetech.”
A 20-year veteran of the fenestration industry, Rogers has worked for both component suppliers and window and door manufacturers. He has become established as an expert in insulating glass sealing systems and holds five U.S. patents relating to fenestration products.
He currently chairs the Glass Care And Cleaning Task Group, the Glass Material Council Marketing Committee, and the Green And Sustainability Specification Development Task Group and remains active in 16 councils, committees and task groups.
In presenting the award, Garries said “As I look at [his] track record, I am amazed by both the scope and depth of his involvement in the fenestration industry.”
Rogers obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and later pursued graduate studies in finance, followed by earning Master Certificates in Business Management and Advanced Marketing Strategy.
