New Philadelphia, Ohio (January 15, 2010) – Nurtured Pets, maker of The Anti-Lick Strip Prevent™, Anti-Lick Strip Pro™ and Anti-Lick Strip Pro C™, will exhibit at the North American Veterinarian Conference. The conference will be held in Orlando, Florida, Jan. 16-20.
Anti-Lick Strip Pro™ and Anti-Lick Strip Pro C™, both sold exclusively to veterinarians, and will be featured products at the Nurtured Pets booth #3900, located in the Orlando World Center Marriott. The pet bandages use all-natural active ingredients — including cayenne pepper, lemon powder, clove oil, and oregano — to deter excessive licking, biting and chewing and have a medical-grade adhesive backing. Both Anti-Lick Strip Pro and Pro C are easy-to-use peel-and-stick bandages that are packaged on 96-inch rolls. They are designed for in-clinic use to secure IVs and catheters, as extra protection of post-surgical sites when E-collars are prescribed, and as an alternative to E-collars when requested. They are also useful when treating hot spots, granulomas, injection sites, minor wounds and more. Pro C has a more aggressive adhesive so it sticks better to casts and vet wraps.
In addition to exhibiting at the NAVC conference, Nurtured Pets is sponsoring two wet labs, or hands-on sessions, on January 18. “Bandaging Techniques” takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in room C4 of the Caribe Royale Resort Convention Center. The second lab, “Casting and Splinting,” is offered from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the same location. In both sessions, participants will be introduced to the Anti-Lick Strip product line and get hands-on experience with it. Company personnel will be on hand to answer any questions.
Cindy Miller, Director of Marketing for Nurtured Pets, looks forward to getting the product information out to veterinarians in a face-to-face setting. “One of the most frustrating medical issues for a veterinarian and pet owner is trying to keep a pet from agitating a surgical site,” she says. “We know when vets learn more about the products, they will be excited about using them in their clinics.”
